  • Flashlight (check batteries)
  • Canteen, Hydra-Pak, etc  (optional but highly recommended)
  • Toothbrush and toothpaste

  • Clothes (including Class B Uniform) (best to pack for layered dress)(note: for most weekend camping trips scouts will wear the same clothes both days)
  • Changes of underwear
  • Changes of socks (required, socks get wet)
  • Hat (optional but recommend)
  • Medications (if required, please inform Scoutmaster)
  • Money (used for return trip meal)

Note: Scouts should fit everything but their sleeping bag and sleeping pad in their backpack. Military surplus stores have good prices on backpacks, sleeping pads, canteens, etc.

Note: Phones and/or electronic devices are allowed for emergency purposes and during the drive to the campground. Phones may be collected by the scoutmasters at any time. If you need to contact your scout you may call a scoutmaster but reception will often be limited.
