About Troop 226

Boy Scout Troop 226 was founded in June of 2014. It is chartered by First Baptist Church on the Hill and Achiever Christian School.

After five years of administering a successful Cub Scout Pack, Troop 226 was created as the next step in our scouts journey. Initially founded out of a desire by a set of parents of potential scouts for a Cub Scout Pack that has a strong foundation in the Christian Faith and strives to grow young boys into young men of Strong Character, Good Moral Judgement, a Commitment to their Faith and their Country and an attitude of always Doing Their Best at whatever they do, Troop 226 carries on this vision as the boys of Cub Scout Pack 266 become young men of Troop 226.

Bringing together an organization like the Boy Scouts of America and the First Baptist Church on the Hill and Achiever Christian School, with their strong emphasis on youth programs, make a great partnership and encompasses all of the ideals and goals of the respective organizations.

Families of potential scouts do not need to be members of Church on the Hill nor do the boys need to be students at Achiever Christian School. Potential members also do not need to have come from Pack 226. Troop 226 welcomes all boys for membership and their families that are looking for a troop based on the Christian faith.

Troop Structure
Troop 226 is a relatively new troop. Currently we have one patrol and two scoutmasters.

Parent Information
To get more detailed information about Scouting, BSA and our Troop, each parent is required to attend a New Scout Parent Information meeting before a boy may join the troop. This meeting can be arranged with the Scoutmaster.
